I've been trying to import chapter markers from a quicktime movie created in FCP X. The Chapters all appear in the family tree but not in the project itself, probably because they have no text.

My workaround is to type the names in at the iDVD end.
I can't find anyway to do this so I'd be grateful if Alchroma, or anyone else, can tell me.
What I you seeing in iDVD? Do you have a chapters menu? You should if the file has chapter markers.
Not sure what you mean by family tree. Is that a typo?
I assume that the Project refers to the iDVD Project?
If iDVD is setup to receive Chapter Markers, they do arrive in iDVD OK.
As you mentioned there is no TEXT in the chapter boxes.
This basically makes the boxes invisible, clicking on the exact spot will reveal one.
As I recall using Select All Buttons from the iDVD menu should work the best.

The reference to a family tree relates to the three buttons at the bottom of the screen in the centre. The one on the left goes to what I've described as a Family Tree
